The panels are only half the system. Inverters, conduit runs, disconnects and the wiring between the array and your panel are what actually turn sunlight into usable power, and they are where most solar faults live. We service the electrical side of residential solar.
What this covers
- Inverter fault diagnosis, service and replacement
- String and micro-inverter troubleshooting
- Conduit runs, junction boxes and DC disconnect service
- Rapid shutdown device checks
- Wiring repair between array, inverter and load center
- Monitoring reconnection after a fault or outage
When to call us
- Inverter showing a fault code or an unlit status light
- Monitoring app reporting zero production from one string
- Breakers tripping when the array comes online in the morning
- Visible damage to conduit or exposed wiring on the roof or wall
Not sure what you need?
Call and describe it. We'll tell you what it takes, including when it needs a licensed contractor instead of us.
(480) 758-9126Solar Electrical Service questions
- My inverter is showing a fault code. Do I need a new one?
- Often not. Plenty of faults come down to a tripped disconnect, a failed rapid-shutdown device, or damaged wiring between the array and the load center, none of which needs a new inverter. We diagnose first, and if the inverter itself has failed we say so and quote the replacement.
- Do you handle panel upgrades or service changes for a solar install?
- No. We service the electrical side of an existing residential solar system: inverters, conduit, disconnects and the wiring between the array and the load center. Panel upgrades, service changes and whole-home rewires need a licensed contractor, and we will tell you that rather than take the job.
- My monitoring app stopped reporting. Is that worth a call?
- Yes. Monitoring going dark is usually a communication fault, but it can also be the first visible sign of a string that has quietly stopped producing. Either way you are paying a bill for power you should be generating.
